Original Source Australian Boardriders Battle comes to TV

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 20 February, 2016 - The National Final of the Original Source Australian Boardriders Battle will be televised on Channel 9 this Sunday at 10.30am.

Viewers can tune in to catch all the highlights from two days of jammed packed high performance, high stakes World Surf League (WSL) sanctioned competition involving the best athletes from around the country.

The Original Source Australian Boardriders Battle is Australia's biggest grassroots, surfing boardriders event series with $120,000 in prize money. It involved Australia's best boardriders clubs in eight State qualifying rounds starting last October and culminated in a two-day National Final in Cronulla.

The twenty clubs that contested the final were:

NEW SOUTH WALES: Cabarita Boardriders, Le-Ba Boardriders, North Shelly Boardriders Club, Long Reef Boardriders Assoc, Jones Beach Boardriders, Ulladulla Boardriders Club, Merewether Surfboard Club, Culburra Beach Boardriders Club, Cronulla Sharks Boardriders Club and North Narrabeen Boardriders Club.

QUEENSLAND: Point Lookout Boardriders Club, Kirra Surfriders Club

North Shore Boardriders Club, Burleigh Heads Boardriders Club, Snapper Rocks Surfriders Club

VICTORIA: Peninsula Surfriders Club, Portland Boardriders Club

WESTERN AUSTRALIA: Margaret River Boardriders Club

SOUTH AUSTRALIA: South Coast Boardriders Club

TASMANIA: South Arm Boardriders Club
