Howdee from the West,
The 2017 Western Australia campaign is almost done and dusted. It’s certainly been a good mix with great weather, pumping surf and a few lay days to explore everything the region has to offer. The Drug Aware Margaret River Pro wrapped up the Women’s comp today with Sally Fitzgibbons taking out the final from fellow Aussie and defending champion Tyler Wright.
With her win today, Sally has jumped up the ratings to join Stephanie Gilmore as joint leader. Tyler had defeated Sage Erickson in the first semi while Sally took out the second semi from Steph. It was a short day at the main break office for the girls. Stay tuned for tomorrow because it’s finals day for the men with predicted offshore winds and a solid swell. I’ll load up more images once it’s all wrapped up.
