Endangered Waves App wins 'Best Conservation' award in Ocean category
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 23 February, 2018 - Save The Waves’ Endangered Waves Mobile App has been awarded 'Best Conservation App' in HeroX’s Big Ocean Button Challenge.
Sponsored by XPRIZE, the Big Ocean Button Challenge was a global $100,000 mobile app development competition and Save The Waves beat out more than 300 competitors to win the award for best conservation app. The Endangered Waves App received more than 200+ votes in October, the second most out of any app in the competition. How? The Endangered Waves App allows all surfers and beach-goers to use their phone to document threats to surfing spots and coastlines.
