Small surf sees Caraïbos Lacanau Pro stay on standby

Caraïbos Lacanau Pro

Forecast looks better for the next few days at Lacanau

Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 16 August, 2017 - The Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is on StandBy. A lay day has been called on the second day of the event’s waiting period with very little swell on offer at Grande Plage this morning.

“The forecast looks pretty good for the next few days with a new push arriving tomorrow morning and building throughout the day,” Cyril Camu, contest director said. “We’ll have an early call at low tide and should have some really nice waves all day.”

The Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is the second of a seven-event leg throughout Europe and will count towards crowning the region’s champions. When the event resumes, a field of hungry QS warriors will battle it out for the 1,500 ranking points on offer.

Event officials will reconvene at 7:30 a.m for a potential early start on Day 3 of the waiting period.

The Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is scheduled from August 16-20, 2017 at Grande Plage, Lacanau - France.
