Bodyboarding musician Flume and crew take a break from touring and join Ms. Gilmore
Surfersvillage Global Surf News, 15 November, 2016 - Artist, musician producer Flume has posted a clip this week from his recent foray into California’s central valley. The chart topping Australian visited Kelly’s Wave Pool and sampled its famed freshwater barrels with Stephanie Gilmore.
"An invite back to the Surf Ranch is always a treat,” said Stephanie. “It was a fun day with Flume and his crew."
It’s a refreshing clip, as Harley Edward Streten (Flume’s real name) and band mates who won’t be confused with World Tour competitors anytime soon, are the first “mortal” surfers seen sampling waves at Kelly Slater’s Surf Ranch.
Stephanie Gilmore joins in for a quick barrel and applies her flair and polish to the man-made peelers. Flume grew up bodyboarding on Sydney’s northern beaches. He gained national and international acclaim with his eponymous debut studio album, Flume in 2012 which peaked at number 1 on the charts.
